MIHIRI Yeluri\u2019s Family Day Care opened its Visual Arts Exhibition on Sunday, 9 December in order to showcase the children\u2019s artwork for the year.<\/p>\n
A variety of pieces were on display including paintings, drawings and 3D projects, all created by the children as part of the day care\u2019s annual curriculum.<\/p>\n
The centre\u2019s program is based on the four seasons while incorporating topics of interest initiated by the children themselves. The topics for this year included everything from cultural diversity, learning about Wathaurong, space, dinosaurs, insects and bugs to geometric construction and straw connectors.<\/p>\n
Through emerging learning, centre manager Mihiri Yeluri seeks to build on the children\u2019s natural interests and curiosities through music, artwork and excursions.<\/p>\n
The day care centre is run through the City of Ballarat and looks to inspire creativity in children within the greater community.<\/p>\n
The exhibition will be open until 21 December at 312 Eureka Street, Ballarat East.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
