{"id":19593,"date":"2019-02-20T12:12:41","date_gmt":"2019-02-20T01:12:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/ballarat\/?p=19593"},"modified":"2019-02-21T10:14:49","modified_gmt":"2019-02-20T23:14:49","slug":"impact-grants-open","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/ballarat\/news\/impact-grants-open\/","title":{"rendered":"Impact grants open"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>APPLICATIONS for round three of the City of Ballarat\u2019s Community Impact Grants program for 2018-19 are now open.<\/p>\n<p>The grants are for local non-profit community groups and this time council is putting a focus on arts, youth and intercultural activity, and money can go towards equipment or events.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile we receive many applications from a wide range of groups, we would like to see more community organisations in the arts, youth and intercultural sectors apply,\u201d said mayor Samantha McIntosh.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe committee really encourages innovation and creativity. It would be fantastic to see applications that are out of the box, projects and events that showcase the vibrant and thriving arts, youth and intercultural sectors that we have in Ballarat.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>So far as part of the 2018-19 program the municipality has allocated more than $110,000 to 26 community groups.<\/p>\n<p>For more information on the Community Impact Grants program, to download the guidelines, or find the application form visit <strong>ballarat.vic.gov.au<\/strong> or call 5320 5500.<\/p>\n<p>Applications for the current round close Friday, 1 March.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>APPLICATIONS for round three of the City of Ballarat\u2019s Community Impact Grants program for 2018-19 are now open.
