ANTHONY Nigro has his sights set on raising over $5,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities.<\/p>\n
Mr Nigro, general manager of five Ballarat McDonalds outlets, will join a group of 35 riders in Lorne for the annual Victoria Ride for Sick Kids on Saturday, 16 March cycling over 300km to Melbourne.<\/p>\n
This year marks the seventh consecutive ride event Mr Nigro has undertaken. He has raised over $30,000 riding for the cause close to his heart that has helped his loved ones in their time of need.<\/p>\n
\u201cSeeing first-hand the impact that Ronald McDonald House Charities has on regional Victoria has inspired me to do my bit to help families going through tough times,\u201d said Mr Nigro.<\/p>\n
He said his motivation for riding every year is partially the fun of riding with a great bunch of riders, some of whom are friends, McDonalds contractors, licensees and staff.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe McDonalds brand has given me so much over the years so this is a good way to give back, it\u2019s a great cause to be part of with some great company along the way so it is a very easy decision.\u201d<\/p>\n
The group will cross the finish line on Tuesday, 19 March at Ronald McDonald House in North Fitzroy. Ronald McDonald House Charities Victoria & Tasmania is a registered charity that creates, finds, and supports programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children and their families.<\/p>\n
