{"id":20404,"date":"2019-03-27T21:13:53","date_gmt":"2019-03-27T10:13:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/ballarat\/?p=20404"},"modified":"2019-03-28T10:32:19","modified_gmt":"2019-03-27T23:32:19","slug":"harcourts-sizzles-with-its-big-blue-bbq","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/ballarat\/real-estate\/harcourts-sizzles-with-its-big-blue-bbq\/","title":{"rendered":"Harcourts sizzles with its Big Blue BBQ"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>ROLLING KITCHEN IS FREE FOR\u00a0<\/strong><strong>COMMUNITY GROUPS TO USE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>HARCOURTS Ballarat have\u00a0<\/strong><strong>unveiled their latest community\u00a0<\/strong><strong>focused offering, a barbecue on\u00a0<\/strong><strong>wheels that\u2019s available free of\u00a0<\/strong><strong>charge for use by community\u00a0<\/strong><strong>groups, schools and not-forprofit\u00a0<\/strong><strong>organisations across the\u00a0<\/strong><strong>region.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dubbed the Big Blue BBQ, the hot meat and delectable treat dispensing trailer includes hotplates and grills, two folding chairs, an ice box, barbeque tools and comes fully gassed up.<\/p>\n<p>The idea for the Big Blue BBQ came from Harcourts Ballarat Sales Consultant Adam Cleveland.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Big Blue BBQ was an initiative born to continually support the local communities that we reside and work in,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough this we are giving community clubs and groups the opportunity to utilise the trailer to raise funds with a regular sausage sizzle, a cook up for a large number at a function or festival, or that school working bee.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHarcourts is an organisation that is prepared to give back to the same community that supports us daily, I believe this alone makes Harcourts stand out from the pack.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The custom-made trailer was put together by Paul Horne, while all the signwriting was completed thanks to Troy Drever of Drever Signs.<\/p>\n<p>Big Blue BBQ has already been out and about, filling hungry stomachs across the Central Highlands.<\/p>\n<p>It was worked by members of Rotary Club of Ballarat West at an International Women\u2019s Day event in Sturt Street that helped raise money for Eureka Mums and it\u2019s been cooking up a storm at primary schools and Creswick Football Netball Club.<\/p>\n<p>Harcourts Ballarat Director Peter Ludbrook said the Big Blue BBQ reflected this company\u2019s commitment to supporting the region beyond real estate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a very simple, yet tangible way we can give something back to individuals and groups in our community,\u201d Mr Ludbrook said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is the community that supports us, allows us to employ over 30 local staff and pays us the ultimate compliment by inviting us into their homes and trusting us with their valuable assets.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe hope the BBQ gets worn out due to excessive use, and when it does, we will buy another one.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Big Blue BBQ is free to use but does require a $250 deposit that will be refunded upon return of the undamaged and clean equipment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ROLLING KITCHEN IS FREE FOR\u00a0COMMUNITY GROUPS TO USE HARCOURTS Ballarat have\u00a0unveiled their latest community\u00a0focused offering, a barbecue on\u00a0wheels that\u2019s available free of\u00a0charge for use by community\u00a0groups, schools and not-forprofit\u00a0organisations across the\u00a0region.
