CLYDE Park Vineyard will be hopping on Easter Sunday.<\/p>\n
For the kids there is an Easter egg hunt, a roaming Easter bunny to meet, face painting, and arts and crafts activities.<\/p>\n
The Easter egg hunt starts at 10.30am with all funds raised from the $6 tickets donated to The Change Angels charity.<\/p>\n
The adults can enjoy live acoustic music, purchase a ticket in the huge egg raffle, taste the Single Block wines and do a winery walkabout.<\/p>\n
Luke Polson, Clyde Park\u2019s Viticulturist will lead a 45-minute vineyard tour around the Block D Pinot Noir vines starting at 2.45pm.<\/p>\n
Co-owner Terry Jongebloed said the winery walkabout is a rare chance to get into Clyde Park\u2019s back yard.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur Block D Pinot Noir vines are grown on a very steep hill and are at the forefront of cool climate viticulture,\u201d Mr Jongebloed said.<\/p>\n
The wine has rated over the last five years consistently in the 97 point range from James Halliday.<\/p>\n
Mr Polson will discuss the soil, or as the French say the terroir, and the impact it has on the vines.<\/p>\n
Mr Jongebloed said for him and his wife co-owner Sue Dixon the Easter egg hunt is all about welcoming everyone in for some fun.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe money from the hunt and the raffle ticket sales all goes to charity,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s a family fun day, let the kids get out there and run around and have a good time.\u201d<\/p>\n
