Bungaree vs. Beaufort<\/strong><\/p>\n

IT is another battle of the titans in the Bendigo Bank & Rural Bank Central Highlands Football League with the Demons hosting the reigning premiers this Saturday afternoon. Star recruit, Bailey Veale, will be out to impress again after back-to-back best on ground performances lead his side to their two victories so far this season. His grunt work in the midfield could be the catalyst in the Demons handing Bungaree their second loss of the year. Prediction: Bungaree in an upset.<\/em><\/p>\n

Daylesford vs. Ballan<\/strong><\/p>\n

BOTH sides have shown big improvement so far in season 2019, but only the Blues can go into the matchup this week saying that they have recorded a victory. Bulldog X-Factor, Sebastian Walsh, has once again started the year in impressive fashion with seven goals already. His side was narrowly defeated last time they played at Victoria Park and will be hoping to rectify that with their first win of the season. Prediction: Daylesford. Purely due to home field advantage.<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Learmonth vs. Clunes<\/strong><\/p>\n

WE can all expect a closer encounter between these two sides compared to the 81-point drubbing that the Lakies\u2019 handed the Magpies in Round six last season. On that afternoon, speedster, Kyle McKay was electric and far too much to handle. The Lakies\u2019 will once again look to feed him the football as they look to move into the top-eight for the first time this year. Prediction: Learmonth 42 points.<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Carngham Linton vs. Creswick<\/strong><\/p>\n

THE Saints were better against the table toppers last week but will once again be underdogs at home against an ever-improving Creswick. The Wickers trailed for the vast majority of their game last round, only to storm home with five goals in the last term in a spirited performance. Prediction: Creswick. Comfortably.<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Newlyn vs. Gordon<\/strong><\/p>\n

PIVOTAL losses were the story for both sides last round and means that this matchup will be hugely important in the spectrum of their seasons respectively. The Cats will be out for revenge after the Eagles ended their season last year with a 52-point victory in the second semi-final. That afternoon, Adam Toohey, booted seven majors and has carried on his good form into season 2019 to date with ten goals so far. However, the Cats have added a spearhead of their own in Marcus Darmody with the big man adding 12 goals in his two appearances and looks like a colossus that can\u2019t be stopped. Prediction: Newlyn in a close one.<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Skipton vs. Hepburn<\/strong><\/p>\n

TO a degree, the Emus have been one of the surprise packets so far in season 2019 with solid performances against good opposition. However, expect them to come crashing back down to earth with the Burras eager to bounce back off a loss last round. Prediction: Hepburn by 60 points.<\/em><\/p>\n

Springbank vs. Dunnstown<\/strong><\/p>\n

WHEN 13th plays 14th on the ladder this early in the season it\u2019s pretty obvious to say that both sides are desperate for a victory. The Tigers recorded there first victory with a terrific win last round against Gordon away from home, whilst the Towners are desperate to get on the winners list to keep their finals aspirations alive. Prediction: Springbank 15 points.<\/em><\/p>\n

Waubra vs. Rokewood Corindhap<\/strong><\/p>\n

IT only took four rounds of football in the League but we already have a top of the table clash with the first place Grasshoppers travelling to Waubra this weekend. Not many pundits had the Grasshoppers in their top eight at the start of the season, nor on top of ladder, highlighting the remarkable start they\u2019ve had. They face their toughest test in the Kangaroos who have remarkably only lost a handful of games in the past couple of seasons.
