A RECRUITMENT drive has begun to employ the first Principal of Lucas\u2019s new public primary school before it opens next year.<\/p>\n
Educators across the state are encouraged by the Department of Education and Training to apply to lead the school.<\/p>\n
Member for Wendouree, Juliana Addison said the process will select an \u201cexperienced and passionate principal,\u201d ensuring local children can access a great education.<\/p>\n
Western Victoria Upper House MP, Jaala Pulford said Lucas Primary is part of a state government commitment to growth in Ballarat.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is another major milestone for families in Lucas as part of a school building boom that will see 100 new government schools open across Victoria over the next eight years,\u201d Ms Pulford said.<\/p>\n
The public is also asked to submit names for consideration. A decision should be made later this year.<\/p>\n
The Lucas facility is part of the State government\u2019s $3.8 billion spend on new school builds and more than 1300 school upgrades.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
