VOICE FM will relocate its operations to Barkly Square, subject to funding from the government, local businesses and community.<\/p>\n
The Barkly Street location will better cater to the station\u2019s current needs, following a recent strategic review. The move means more space, better facilities and appropriate disability access, all which complement Voice\u2019s drive to further enhance and broaden their program diversity.<\/p>\n
Board Member, Ron Egeberg is leading the charge to move the community radio station from its current Dawson Street home, and said the directors are all very supportive of the change, planning means of fundraising.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a unanimous decision of the board on behalf of the volunteers,\u201d he said. \u201cAs 99.9 Voice FM is a not-for-profit, volunteer-based community radio station, the board has planned a range of activities to raise the necessary funds to make this relocation a reality.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mr Egeberg encourages Ballarat residents and businesses that can help Voice financially, to make contact.<\/p>\n

Located at 99.9 on the dial, Voice is by, for and about the Ballarat community. It aims to provide specialised broadcasting for audiences not serviced, targeted or satisfied by commercial radio and the public broadcaster.<\/p>\n
Voice FM is currently seeking new board members, individuals for operational committees, on-air presenters, panel operators, and other volunteers.<\/p>\n
