Salt is applied to the silk and when it dries it gives a mottled effect to the colours on the fabric.<\/p>\n
Inverleigh resident Faye Gibson said she had done a few classes with Ms Bosnar in the past however this was her first attempt at silk painting.<\/p>\n
\u201cI love attending because Ros always teaches me something I don\u2019t know,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Ms Bosnar, who trained as a hairdresser, joined a local art group as a form of therapy after an illness forced her to retire.<\/p>\n
Since then art has become a major part of her life, spending most of her time involved in one form or another.<\/p>\n
Glenys Bartlett and her sister Marilyn Davidson enrolled to do something together.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is liker a cookery class, you make something beautiful and then you get to take it home with you,\u201d Ms Bartlett said.<\/p>\n
Ms Bosnar said art is a form of mindfulness which enables total concentration.<\/p>\n
A dab hand at many different mediums from acrylics, pastels and oils, her favourite is painting with water colour.<\/p>\n
\u201cI tend to be a realist in my work, conveying nature\u2019s form and colour and I like my paintings to tell a story,\u201d she said. \u201cI enjoy sharing my love of art and love seeing my students have fun while creating their own pieces.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ms Bosnar confesses to being a YouTube fanatic, spending way too much time each night watching it to gain new ideas on what and how to teach in her classes.<\/p>\n
