KANGAROO<\/em> will be screened as part of a fundraiser for the Animal Justice Party.<\/p>\n

The 2017 documentary focuses on Australia\u2019s love-hate relationship with its national icon.<\/p>\n

The Animal Justice Party\u2019s Ballarat Convenor, Bryn Hills, said the screening is \u201ctimely in regard to the State government\u2019s green light to the commercial slaughter of kangaroos.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is in spite of no accurate counting method, animal cruelty and the threat to biodiversity.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Animal Justice Party has bought the rights to the film.<\/p>\n

Mr Hills said kangaroo culling was just one issue the party was currently focusing on.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe’ll get around to all of the different causes, this kind of battle that we engage ourselves in is one we fight on many fronts,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The film will start at 7.30pm on Thursday, 5 September, at the Eastwood Leisure Complex. Tickets are still available.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
