EUREKA Cycling club hosted Northern Cycling from Melbourne at Learmonth on Sunday for Round 1 of the 2019 Interclub Series.<\/p>\n
Brilliant sunshine bathed the course as the 35 competitors raced through Blowhard, Coghill\u2019s Creek and Glendaruel toward the turnaround point neat Mount Beckworth.<\/p>\n
Eureka\u2019s Bob Morley and Northern\u2019s Michael Lavender proved too strong for their bunch after riding into the race lead.<\/p>\n
The race finished at Mount Bolton, where the final climb up The Wall sorted out the top prizes. A large group of ten battled out the final podium position.<\/p>\n
Round 2 of the series will be staged at East Trentham in mid-October.<\/p>\n
