BALLARAT Regional Multicultural Council will run their Twilight Market later this month.<\/p>\n
The free event will be held at Ballarat Welcome Centre inside Barkly Square, with art and food stalls.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are able to engage with our community members through this market. Not only are people there to buy things, they’re there to actually say hello, to bump shoulders with other community members,\u201d said event coordinator Gilbert Mukasa.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe thought it’d be a good way to end the week, considering daylight savings will mean it’s still daylight at these hours too.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mr Mukasa also said members of the city\u2019s Multicultural Council, local music artists and members of the winder community will be there.<\/p>\n
Family-friendly and covering both the courtyard and parts of the building, he said there are no plans to stop holding these markets.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think it’s a fantastic opportunity for people to get out and experience different cultures, engage with one another, and also to be able to support local crafts and small business,\u201d Mr Mukasa said.<\/p>\n
