{"id":65044,"date":"2019-11-06T08:06:11","date_gmt":"2019-11-05T21:06:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/ballarat\/?p=65044"},"modified":"2019-11-06T08:06:30","modified_gmt":"2019-11-05T21:06:30","slug":"favourite-suffers-first-loss","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/ballarat\/sport\/favourite-suffers-first-loss\/","title":{"rendered":"Favourites suffers first loss"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>DELA Oscar\u2019s has gone down for the first time this season in the Ballarat Netball Association\u2019s premier competition The Athlete\u2019s Foot Cup.<\/p>\n<p>It came at the hands of reigning champion Brown Hill in the best game of the season so far.<\/p>\n<p>The return of Poppy Douglass from illness and a European holiday was pivotal for Brown Hill.<\/p>\n<p>Her shooting combination with Zoe Ottavi set the standard for coach Annie McCartin\u2019s team.<\/p>\n<p>Brown Hill led by four goals after a tense first quarter.<\/p>\n<p>Dela Oscar\u2019s won the next two to trail by a single goal going into the last.<\/p>\n<p>Seventeen-year-old Lydia Jordan was outstanding in the final quarter for Dela, shooting superbly to give her team a chance of snatching the win.
