Photo: ALISTAIR FINLAY<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Talent coordinator and event co-organiser, Sally Bedggood, said that the kid friendly environment is what makes the Carols special.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a crazy family event,\u201d she said. \u201cKids are running around everywhere, parents are catching up with people they haven\u2019t seen for ages, relaxing on the grass and sharing meals.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe kids just love it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Joining the community groups, musical acts for all ages, and schools that will be performing at are some of the region\u2019s top talent.<\/p>\n<p>Soloist headliners include Ruben Morgan, musical director of The BallaRat Pack, and Rachel Angee, who recently appeared as Mrs Potts in BLOC Music Theatre\u2019s production of <em>Beauty and the Beast<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRuben is a very accomplished musician, singer and dancer,\u201d Ms Bedggood said.<\/p>\n<p>Run by the local Lions Club and Buninyong community combined churches, all proceeded raised on the night will go towards the 3BA Christmas Appeal.<\/p>\n<p>With the Buninyong FoodWorks donating everything for the barbecue and the Bendigo Bank also supporting the event, that means more money goes back to the Appeal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a fantastic appeal for Ballarat and surrounding families,\u201d Ms Bedggood said. \u201cThere\u2019s so many families in need and this is great way to support them at Christmas.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Along with the signing there\u2019ll be kids\u2019 entertainment and a visit from Santa at the conclusion of the show.<\/p>\n<p>The Buninyong Community Carols will be held between 4.30pm and 9pm, with the performance beginning at 7pm, on Saturday, 7 December in De Souza Park, Warrenehip Street, Buninyong.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FAMILY fun and celebrating the festive season will again be the focus for this year\u2019s Buninyong Community Carols, set for Saturday, 7 December.
