DID you ever want to be involved in radio?<\/p>\n

Maybe you think you\u2019d be good on air, pressing the buttons behind the scenes, or just want to contribute to a community focused organisation.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ll now is your chance as Voice FM is on the lookout for new helpers.<\/p>\n

\u201cVoice FM is expanding its programming,\u201d said newly appointed station manager John Rowland.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, we are looking for presenters, but we also need individuals who can assist with our administration; receptionists, administration assistants, bookkeepers, scheduling of sponsor announcements, community service announcements and station promos.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s also website management, and studio operations, such as panel operators, production assistants and producers, and yes presenters and voices for voice overs.<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t be scared, we will train you.\u201d<\/p>\n

After having recently relocated to new offices and studios at Barkly Square, Voice FM can offer opportunities to people of all abilities.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe also are pleased to be able to provide disability access to our studio facility, unlike our former studios,\u201d Mr Rowland said.<\/p>\n

Mr Rowland also said there were many benefits to donating time to Voice FM.<\/p>\n

The radio station benefits from your skills and abilities, but team members also become better relationships with the city and region.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy being a volunteer at your Voice FM, you will provide a valuable service to your community, 99.9 Voice FM is for and about our community,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cVolunteering gives all of us a sense of purpose. It also connects us to others, helps us make new friends and contacts, increases our social and relationship skills and its good for our mind and body, bringing fun and fulfilment to our lives.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen it comes to volunteering at Voice all you need is passion and positivity.\u201d<\/p>\n

Along with the relocation to Barkly Square, management at Voice continue to foster other key changes across the organisation.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s an ongoing review of the station\u2019s programming, with more youth focused content.<\/p>\n

However Mr Rowland said, \u201cPeople of all ages are encouraged to join the voice team.\u201d<\/p>\n
