WHILE current movement restrictions mean that Commerce Ballarat has been forced to postpone its annual upskilling and networking Business Day Out, that does not mean the opportunity is lost.<\/p>\n

Replacing the face-to-face event is a rebranded, refocused and free Business Day In program set for online.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s never been more important for businesses to continue to work on their business, look at new ways, think new ways, challenge themselves, it\u2019s absolutely critical,\u201d said Commerce CEO Jodie Gillett.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople are busy, too busy to be taking part in a day out at the moment. This will give them the ability to hook into session when they\u2019ve got time and either do it when it\u2019s live or later on.\u201d<\/p>\n

Over two sessions on Wednesday, 27 May, original speaker Lucy Bloom is still on agenda and Ms Gillett said her focus was \u201creally relevant\u201d, now more than ever.<\/p>\n

\u201cLucy is really motivational,\u201d Ms Gillett said. \u201cHer Business Day Out subject was doing business differently and that\u2019s what we\u2019re all doing right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Joining Ms Bloom for Business Day In is new speaker Jason Cunningham.<\/p>\n

The business growth expert has worked with Commerce Ballarat before and Ms Gillett said that like Ms Bloom, his experience and focus was perfect for the current climate.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s a really engaging and motivated speaker,\u201d Ms Gillet said. \u201cWhen I think about the kind of people that can have an impact right now, he comes straight to mind.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople need to be uplifted and I think Lucy and Jason can do a fantastic job of that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Business Day In is being presented at part of Federation Business School Commerce Ballarat Connect Evolve Recover<\/a> series that\u2019s running for the next six months.<\/p>\n

Held via Zoom on 27 May, Lucy Bloom\u2019s session will go for 45 minutes from 10am, while Mr Cunningham is set for 4pm. Both speakers will take part in question and answer sessions following their presentations.<\/p>\n
