WHILE only two wards faced elections, the Pyrenees Shire Council recently welcomed five past councillors back into the office.<\/p>\n
Elections were held in both the Avoca Ward, in which Ron Eason was re-elected, and in the Ercildoune Ward which David Clark as returned.<\/p>\n
The other three councillors Tanya Kehoe, Damian Ferrari and Robert Vance from the De Cameron, Mount Emu and Beaufort wards respectively ran unopposed and without election.<\/p>\n
Pyrenees Shire CEO Jim Nolan said he wanted to congratulate all five councillors for committing to another term serving the region and its residents.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe organization is looking forward to working with the councillors and continuing to make Pyrenees the best place to live, work or invest,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI would like to extend my thanks to election candidates Jo Dunlop for Avoca and Simon Tol in Ercildoune for their willingness to stand up for their communities.<\/p>\n
