WHILE the pandemic may have put the kybosh on so many community events this year, including the annual SpringFest Market Sunday, it hasn\u2019t stopped the drive to support the event\u2019s community partners.<\/p>\n
That\u2019s why when it became clear SpringFest couldn\u2019t go ahead in traditional sense, the Rotary Club of Ballarat and organiser Nicole Bartlett stepped up with a new idea.<\/p>\n
\u201cOrganising SpringFest is a 12-month process and our community partners rely on the money the market raises to run some important activities,\u201d Ms Bartlett said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s where the idea of the Ultimate SpringFest Online Raffle came from. For just $5 a ticket you go in with a chance to win one of a hundred amazing prize packs with a total value of over $18,000, all donated by SpringFest\u2019s wonderful sponsors and stall holders.\u201d<\/p>\n
All money raised as part of the raffle goes directly to supporting the Rotary Club of Ballarat\u2019s activities and the event\u2019s five community partners: Ballarat Chinese Dragon Boat Club, Mount Egerton Primary School, Miners Rest Primary School and Kindergarten, Phoenix P-12 Community College and Bungaree Primary School.<\/p>\n
But there\u2019s not a lot of time left to get involved.<\/p>\n
