ELECTRONIC music acts will breathe life back into Volta over two shows this month.<\/p>\n

Three-piece synth-pop group, Esoteric will play their first ever headline shows, back-to-back with dance-hip-hop solo artist Floc in the support slot.<\/p>\n

Esoteric vocalist Shannen Hunter said her \u201cfavourite thing in the world\u201d is performing on stage, although her band hasn\u2019t been able to do that since February.<\/p>\n

\u201cForty tickets are on sale for each show. It\u2019s going to be really exciting for our family and friends to come and see us, and to play two shows in one night will be really cool,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe didn\u2019t even exist as a band a year ago. We\u2019re humbled and lucky with the small amount of success that we\u2019ve had.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen Lachie from Volta asked us to perform, it felt awesome to know that people were thinking of us.\u201d<\/p>\n

With an EP release approaching in January, Esoteric will play a brand-new song, some they\u2019ve got on Spotify – recorded in their spare bedroom during lockdown – and a cover.<\/p>\n

Floc\u2019s Sarah Barclay will play her single Haunt me<\/em>, for the first time since its release in August, some portfolio compositions developed during her studies at the Australian Institute of Music, and an experimental piece.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s the best time to come and see live music because everyone\u2019s excited to be back there again. It\u2019s also an inclusive line-up,\u201d Barclay said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe line-up is 50-50 male and female, so it\u2019s got gender representation. In the electronic or hip-hop music scene in regional Victoria, it\u2019s often hard to find women and gender non-conforming people, so it\u2019s really cool.\u201d<\/p>\n
