MEREDITH horse training facility, G.C. Natural Horsemanship is hosting a two-day clinic this weekend for riders and steeds of all levels.<\/p>\n
Owner and founder, Georgia Kolovos said the event will offer one-on-one instruction for specific needs, and develop horses\u2019 ground and riding skills, including arena and obstacle work.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe do lots with the horses to improve their confidence with obstacles. We\u2019ve got multiple instructors, including my husband and myself, participating and helping out.\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor those who are ready to head out on a trail ride, we\u2019ll take them out in the bush. Our property adjoins the Bamganie State Forest, so we have hours of nice trails out there of varying terrain.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have everything from flat and gentle hills, to creek crossings, and pretty steep and challenging up and down terrain.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mrs Kolovos said G.C. Natural Horsemanship\u2019s education and offerings can be different to what many riders are ordinarily exposed to.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s safety, skills and general horsemanship that lots of people need to just be safe and be able to enjoy their horses.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a good thing for anyone, regardless of what they do, whether they ride for fun or compete,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter the COVID lockdowns, it\u2019s a great way for people to get back out with their horses in a safe way.\u201d<\/p>\n
The clinic is $300, beginning at 9am on Saturday, 5 December. Participants can bring their own food and camp for $10 per person each night. Horse yards are $10 per night, and paddocks are $15.<\/p>\n
