BALLARAT Gold Mine has donated $1000 to crisis support agency, Uniting which will benefit emergency relief and Breezeway meals programs, and housing and homelessness services.<\/p>\n
Uniting\u2019s Jennifer Wright took Ballarat Gold Mine team members, Aaron Preston and Oliver Hickson on a tour through their Ballarat headquarters on Tuesday, meeting Breezeways program chef, Cat Walters.<\/p>\n
Breezeway has been operational with the support of volunteers and community donations for more than two decades, offering nutritious meals daily to those in need.<\/p>\n
Food security for the homeless and marginalised is its focus, yet it gets no government funding. Uniting relies on the community and philanthropic grants to keep Breezeway serving its clients.<\/p>\n
Ms Wright said Breezeway always needs volunteers, who would usually give four hours of their time per shift.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
