KICKING things off with a side of gold panning, the first weekend of Ballarat\u2019s Summer Sundays live performances begins 10 January at Sovereign Hill.<\/p>\n

With three talented performers on the line up, whether you attend in person or watch the live stream, it\u2019s set to be a lively event.<\/p>\n

Headlining the bill is ARIA Award winning Clare Bowditch, who among her various accolades is not only a musician but also a broadcaster, actor, speaker, entrepreneur and author.<\/p>\n

Having previously played with the likes of Leonard Cohen, Paul Kelly and Missy Higgins and named Rolling Stone\u2019s Woman of the Year Award for her contribution to Australian culture, it will be a treat for many to have her perform in town.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have so many glorious memories of performing in Ballarat and we cannot wait to get the band back together and play for you again after such a long wait,\u201d Bowditch said. \u201cBring on the Summer Sundays!\u201d<\/p>\n

Joining Bowditch at Sovereign Hill, musical storyteller C.W. Stoneking is also gearing up to play a set.<\/p>\n

Although difficult to describe and often unexpected in his performances, C.W. Stoneking is an interesting and exciting act to look out for whether you\u2019re a first-time listener or a long-time fan.<\/p>\n

To finish up, home grown talent Juan Alban, best known as the singer, guitarist and songwriter from Ballarat band Epicure, will also play in preparation for the release of his solo album.<\/p>\n

Continuing on his own after the group\u2019s disbandment, his new album titled Resentments Central which was written and recorded in Ballarat, Melbourne and New York City is set for release early 2021.<\/p>\n
