THE Aldi supermarket on the corner of Creswick Road and Doveton Street North will close on 20 January for three weeks as part of a major overhaul of the store.<\/p>\n
Works will include redesigned shelves and product displays, increased fresh produce areas, improved navigation through the shop, modern styling and energy efficient chillers and LED lighting.<\/p>\n
The upgrades are modelled on store designs already rolled out in South and Western Australia.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhile we\u2019re delighted to be introducing these innovations, we want our customers to know they won\u2019t lead to higher prices,\u201d said a company spokesperson.<\/p>\n

With works set to start, and the store closing, from 3pm on Wednesday, 20 January the spokesperson said company\u2019s Alfredton, Wendouree and Sebastopol locations would operate unchanged, while 15 to 20 full and part-time staff at the Ballarat site would be supported over the shutdown.<\/p>\n
