HYPER-pop duo Odd Tastes will perform at Volta this weekend supported by solo alt-dream-pop artist LACHNES.<\/p>\n
Will Stephens will gig in his hometown of Ballarat for the first time since 2019, alongside his twin sister and band partner, Georgina Stephens, sharing fresh Odd Tastes sounds.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re going to be playing a lot of new songs that we haven\u2019t done in Ballarat ever before. We\u2019ve really switched up what we\u2019ve been creating since we began playing,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve changed our live set, going from both George and I playing instruments, to both of us now singing, with crazy vocal effects and different hyper-pop sounds.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve played Karova before, but not Volta so I\u2019m really excited to see how the venue looks.\u201d<\/p>\n
If you enjoy heading out for a late-night boogie, Stephens said the Field Street gig is something you\u2019ll enjoy.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe play club music, so if you like going out to the club, you should really come down and have a bit of a dance.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe one thing we always do is make our gigs fun, so it\u2019s going to be a lot of energy, with really cool songs you can dance to. It\u2019s a club-ready set,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The Stephens siblings became musical collaborators five years ago and have experienced \u201cbig breaks,\u201d supporting high-profile Australian names like The Smith Street Band and The Bennies.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe were lucky enough to get on the line-up at the Queenscliff Music Festival. We went from little pub gigs to sold out venues,\u201d Stephens said.<\/p>\n
