WITH the 2021 NBL1 South Season set to kick off in April, Basketball Ballarat have announced the return of Zac Dunmore as the first player on the roster for the Hotondo Ballarat Miners.<\/p>\n
Originally from Ararat, the 185-centimetre guard said he\u2019s excited to be playing once again for Ballarat after having lived in the city for a few years.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve always loved playing in Ballarat, the fans and community are always super nice so it\u2019s awesome playing here, especially in this new stadium as well that we haven\u2019t yet played in,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt’s been a while since we last played\u2026 but I’m definitely looking forward to getting on the court with the guys and hopefully having a good crack at the championship.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think we start our training in March, I\u2019m super excited for that, I\u2019ve been playing a little bit in the CBL to keep my match fitness up a little bit but definitely looking forward to get back into NBL1.\u201d<\/p>\n
Also recently announced as returning, Miners head coach Brendan Joyce said he was looking forward to having Dunmore back on deck for the upcoming season.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are all really happy and excited to have Zac back for NBL1 South 2021 after coming back from a serious foot injury,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cZac played limited minutes off the bench in the 2019 NBL1 season and had a very good season developing with our youth league team.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are hopeful and looking for Zac to improve to challenge for an opportunity for increased minutes with the unavailability and departure of sharpshooter Tristan Fisher joining the army.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
