Throughout the process, the girls took the opportunity to learn about the complex social issue.<\/p>\n
\u201cArielle had been to a few cities, and thought that homelessness only affected a few people.<\/p>\n
\u201cMeeting with Cafs and finding out where their money would go, she was able to understand that it\u2019s a much bigger issue,\u201d Mr Sawitsch said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was a fun little exercise. I\u2019m really proud of them, but also really happy that they\u2019ve all learnt so much. They have some ideas now for future fundraising as well.\u201d<\/p>\n
A Cafs spokesperson said their team is hugely grateful for the support of the children and their parents, and for their community spirit and thoughtfulness.<\/p>\n
