IN celebration of International Women\u2019s Day, two female created, led and supported movies will be screened in Ballarat.<\/p>\n

The first, set to take place at Regent Cinemas on Thursday, 4 March from 7pm, is a collaboration between Women\u2019s Health Grampians and WRISC Family Violence Support.<\/p>\n

The showing is a special screening of Brazen Hussies, a documentary celebrating the legacy of the Women\u2019s Liberation Movement and the women who re-ignited the feminist revolution in Australia.<\/p>\n

Ticket proceeds from the night will go to WRISC. For more info on the Brazen Hussies event visit bit.ly\/3uh8y8T<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The second film screening is the Ballarat premier of new Australian film Women of Steel, and set to show at Trades Hall on Saturday, 6 March from 7.30pm.<\/p>\n

Using rare archival footage, the film tells the stories of the women who campaigned for their right to work in the 1980s and eventually saw laws changed in their favour.<\/p>\n

The film\u2019s director Robynne Murphy will also be conducting a Q and A session with the audience afterwards the screening.<\/p>\n
