Living on a farm, Jaxson has always loved riding horses and motorbikes, and driving buggies on his own home track. He first discovered race sedans at the age of 13.<\/p>\n
\u201cOnce I started, I pushed myself to be good at it. I love every bit of it; the speed and the adrenaline,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s so much thinking involved. You have to use all of your smarts at the speedway, and think before you get to a situation, keeping an eye on lap traffic and what you\u2019re going to do before you get there.\u201d<\/p>\n
Jaxson now has his eyes set on this month\u2019s Speedway Sedans Australia Junior Victorian State Title event.<\/p>\n
He will head to Nyora Raceway on Saturday, 29 May, hoping the weather stays reasonably dry. The competition has already been postponed twice in 2021 due to wet weather.<\/p>\n
The team at Vella Racing are also seeking support from new sponsors.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe get other people to fix my car, so having sponsors helps us pay for repairs and new tyres,\u201d Jaxson said.<\/p>\n
