HAVE you ever watched a movie that\u2019s so bad, you can\u2019t stop watching?<\/p>\n

That\u2019s exactly the kind of movie Julia Mann is looking to celebrate at a new pop-up for the Frolic Dark Rainbow festival, Terribly Good Cinema.<\/p>\n

The event will premier two films on Saturday, 12 and Sunday, 13 June. Queer musical comedy Zero Patience (1993) <\/em>and Christmas-themed high school zombie flick Anna and the Apocalypse (2017).<\/em><\/p>\n

Self-described film geek and Terribly Good Cinema founder, Ms Mann said she wanted to bring a unique and fun experience to the community.<\/p>\n

\u201cI launched Terribly Good Cinema because, after working at Video Ezy, Movies Plus and Blockbuster right here in Ballarat, I know there are lots of us out there that enjoy movies beyond the multiplex, beyond the Oscar-winners, who love the cult world of cinema,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cTerribly Good Cinema aims to bring the cosiness and casual-feel of watching a movie with your mates on the couch into a space where we can meet other people who share our love for weird and wonderful cinema.\u201d<\/p>\n

Anna and the Apocalypse<\/em> features high school student Anna and her friends fighting, singing and slashing their way through zombie hordes in their small Scottish town.<\/p>\n

Zero Patience<\/em> is about the urban legend of a Canadian flight attendant responsible for bringing AIDS to North America.<\/p>\n

Ms Mann said the two films will live up to the Frolic Dark Rainbow festival\u2019s themes of being \u201cbold, dark and unapologetically queer.\u201d<\/p>\n
