LEROY Mac Designs\u2019 Rebecca McErvale is back in the AusMumpreneur spotlight, nominated in four categories of the annual women\u2019s business awards process.<\/p>\n
Mrs McErvale produces machine-knitted, machine-washable blankets and garments with pure merino wool from the sheep on her own Lexton property, where she\u2019s based with her husband and two daughters.<\/p>\n
The McErvales are fourth-generation merino wool growers.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m stoked to have made it to the finals. I\u2019m nominated for the regional business and product design awards, which are judged by a panel, and the customer service and product awards, which are people\u2019s choice,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re the only company in Australia, that we know of, with full traceability of our product. We can tell you which paddock the wool has come from.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur product is unique, and I\u2019m passionate about telling that story.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cLoyal\u201d return customers make up 80 per cent of Leroy Mac Designs\u2019 sales and Mrs McErvale said the AusMumpreneur Awards give her the opportunity to showcase the brand with potential new supporters.<\/p>\n
\u201cBusiness has been horrendous with COVID. We haven\u2019t been able to attend any of our markets, so this is another platform I can utilise to get our name out there and stay in people\u2019s minds.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe awards process is nerve-wracking but very enjoyable, because you get to network with other likeminded mums in business,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI love that I am able to inspire my two young daughters. Although I am a stay-at-home mum, I have been able to contribute to the family income, grow a successful business, nurture my children and run a household.<\/p>\n
\u201cDon\u2019t let anyone tell you something is impossible. Visualise your highest self, then be her.\u201d<\/p>\n
