{"id":79001,"date":"2021-09-03T04:56:45","date_gmt":"2021-09-02T18:56:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/ballarat\/?p=79001"},"modified":"2021-09-04T09:27:52","modified_gmt":"2021-09-03T23:27:52","slug":"club-mud-bus-raffle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/ballarat\/news\/club-mud-bus-raffle\/","title":{"rendered":"Raffle to buy bike club a bus"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WHEN mountain biking group Club MUD runs events at Black Hill Reserve, they have shuttle buses available to get riders and their equipment back to the top of the course.<\/p>\n<p>But treasurer Janelle Matthews said the Club\u2019s two current buses are \u201ctired,\u201d and that\u2019s why they\u2019re running a raffle to generate funds to purchase at least one brand new 14-seater vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe run regular shuttle days when we can, and we would like to potentially do things further afield for our club members elsewhere, but because our buses are old, we\u2019re not currently taking them outside Ballarat,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re looking at a Toyota HiAce, and if the raffle goes really well, we might look at getting two new buses.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Prizes have been donated by businesses and club members. First prize is a five-bike tilting rack from Single Trail valued at $1689.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_79004\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-79004\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-79004\" src=\"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/ballarat\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2021\/08\/riding-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-79004\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Club MUD offer social and competitive spaces for young and old mountain bikers.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cThat will be an amazing prize for club members, or brilliant for anyone in the community that gets out and about with their bikes,\u201d Ms Matthews said.<\/p>\n<p>Valued at $600, second prize is a three-hour mountain bike photoshoot with Daniel Brooks Photography, and third prize is a series entry to Club MUD\u2019s 2022 King of Ballarat.
