NEW COVID-19 exposure sites in Ballarat have been revealed following the announcement of the city\u2019s first positive case in over twelve months.<\/p>\n
Sites listed include The Lake View Hotel, Big W and the Forge.<\/p>\n
Exposure times for The Lake View Hotel at 22 Wendouree Parade, Lake Wendouree include Friday, 10 September between 9.45am and 11.30am as a tier one. That means people who were at the location during that time must get tested and isolate for 14 days.<\/p>\n
Also listed as tier one sites are The Forge Pizzeria, 14 Armstrong Street North between 2.50pm and 3.30pm on Saturday, 11 September and Big W at Greenville and Curtis streets between 4.45pm and 5.30pm on Friday, 10 September.<\/p>\n
The Lake View Hotel is also listed a s tier two site on the same say between 7.15am and 7.55am and again on Thursday, 9 September between the same times.<\/p>\n
Earlier in the day a Ballarat Health Services statement confirmed care was being provided to a COVID-19 positive case believed to be a construction worker who had acquired the virus while working in Melbourne.<\/p>\n
\u201cA member of the Ballarat community has tested positive to COVID-19,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n
\u201cAt this time, they are at home, and being cared for by their health team.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Ballarat Health Services Grampians Public Health Unit is providing support to them and contact tracing is underway.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt remains extremely important that anyone \u2013 no matter where they live – with even the mildest of symptoms be tested for COVID-19, and stay home until they can be tested, and until they receive their results.\u201d<\/p>\n
In part, as a result of Tuesday\u2019s positive case, the BHS statement the pop-up drive-thru testing site at Marty Busch Reserve in Sebastopol until further notice.<\/p>\n
Entry is via Charlotte Street.<\/p>\n
