THE Rotary Club of Ballarat is asking businesses to consider getting behind SpringFest Market Sunday on 28 November.<\/p>\n
The annual fundraiser generates money for local community groups and will be held at a new COVID safe location, the Ballarat Showgrounds.<\/p>\n
SpringFest co-director Rob Glass said the club has an aim to raise more than $50,000, and has four sponsorship package tiers – naming rights, platinum, silver, and friend of SpringFest – available to enterprises interested in helping make their goal a reality.<\/p>\n
At a minimum, sponsorship is worth $1000.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf businesses would like to be a part of SpringFest, they could display signs, have their own area set aside for $3500, or a specific activity area named after their brand,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cPeter Stevens MG, for example, will have their cars, plus they\u2019re sponsoring the classic car display. PETStock are on board with a Pet\u2019s Corner operating, animals there for the kids, and stalls marketing pet-care products.\u201d<\/p>\n
More than 280 market stalls are already locked in for the big day, with a capacity of 440 stalls at the showgrounds.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve gone out to stallholders who have been with us before… and have 80 people on the waiting list, looking for slightly bigger stalls,\u201d Mr Glass said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn the past, we\u2019ve been inundated very quickly, but we want to make certain we can manage the stalls coming in, and those we already have.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mr Glass said sponsors will raise their brand awareness and connect with new customers, gain media exposure, promote their products and sales, and show that they are socially responsible as a corporate entity.<\/p>\n
The SpringFest committee has undertaken site inspections for potential sports activity zones this week. The SpringFest Online Raffle will launch on Monday, 20 September.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re running the raffle again as our fall-back in case the event cannot run due to COVID-19 restrictions,\u201d Mr Glass said.<\/p>\n
The community partners benefiting from the funds raised are Mount Egerton and Bungaree Primary schools combines, Miners Rest Primary School, Phoenix P-12 Community College and the Ballarat Chinese Dragon Boat Club.<\/p>\n
