{"id":80875,"date":"2021-11-25T04:56:41","date_gmt":"2021-11-24T17:56:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/ballarat\/?p=80875"},"modified":"2021-11-23T17:17:23","modified_gmt":"2021-11-23T06:17:23","slug":"city-restructure-proposed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/ballarat\/news\/city-restructure-proposed\/","title":{"rendered":"City restructure proposed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>AN organisational restructure of the City of Ballarat is being floated, with a new structure to be announced on 6 December.<\/p>\n<p>The changes would affect the City\u2019s corporate service, infrastructure and environment, community wellbeing and development and growth areas.<\/p>\n<p>CEO Evan King said the restructure would set up the City to better deliver on goals written into the Council Plan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis\u00a0proposed\u00a0realignment will align our organisational structure to the strategic objectives outlined in our new\u00a0<em>Council Plan 2021-2025<\/em>\u00a0while also better positioning our organisation with industry and stakeholder requirements,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe primary purpose of this proposed organisational realignment is to create an organisation that is better equipped to deliver on our council\u2019s commitments and the community\u2019s expectations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is no intent to reduce staff numbers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am confident that this proposed structural realignment will deliver greater long-term benefits for all staff and equip us to be better prepared to respond to our community\u2019s needs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mr King said City staff could make comments and suggestions on the changes until the December date, and unions would also be consulted.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AN organisational restructure of the City of Ballarat is being floated, with a new structure to be announced on 6 December.
