Windflower sells quality Australian-made homewares, mostly by Victorian artisans, including GM Jewellery and Tracy Reddy paintings, both from Ballarat.<\/p>\n
The \u201cfrilly raised dishes\u201d by Anabelle Stonehouse of Geelong\u2019s Tink Ceramics are available, as are the vibrant hand-tufted carpets, or fibre paintings, made by Gippsland\u2019s Studio Hollingsworth.<\/p>\n
Open now for two weeks, Ms Hopkins hopes the space will continue to inspire the customer with \u201csomething new to look at,\u201d or take home, each time they step inside.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve had a lot of feedback from people coming in and saying, \u2018we haven\u2019t seen this stuff in shops here before,\u2019 and that\u2019s our aim, to bring something new to Ballarat,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Windflower lives at 415 Sturt Street, a former travel agency, surrounded by some iconic businesses that have been on the block for decades, and others that got their start not too long ago.<\/p>\n
The sisters love where they\u2019re based, and their neighbours, while enjoying the area\u2019s evolution.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve got the new Midtown Cellars and Bar down the block, and the loyal customers of L’Espresso coming by that have been going there years,\u201d Ms Tippett said.<\/p>\n
