ONCE again you can enjoy your takeaway coffee in specially designed cups during this year\u2019s Federation University Road National Championships.<\/p>\n
Local artists Anthony Mitchell, Katie Chancellor, Ben Sanders and Bridget Corcoran were commissioned by the City of Ballarat to each design a small sized cup celebrating the popular competition.<\/p>\n
The cups are available at hospitality venues around Ballarat and Buninyong and Cr Amy Johnson said the initiative combines the strengths of the city.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhile we have all these visitors to Ballarat, why not pair cycling and coffee and add in our local creatives?\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat better way to showcase some of our best artists than by putting their works on something locals and visitors alike use every day, coffee cups.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe City of Ballarat has been a major partner in the Road National Championships for the past 16 years and fantastic ideas like this really highlight this year\u2019s AusCycling theme \u2018There\u2019s more to the RoadNats than just us\u2019.<\/p>\n
\u201cBallarat\u202fhas been\u202fpositioning\u202fitself\u202fas the home of cycling in Australia\u202fand hosting the\u202fRoadNats\u202fis part of the City of Ballarat\u2019s events strategy to attract world class athletes\u202fto\u202fthis prestigious national cycling event.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe\u202fchampionships\u2019\u202fbroadcast schedule will showcase Ballarat to a massive global network through not only Australian TV channels but also an international broadcast partner in the Global Cycling Network.\u201d<\/p>\n
