A DIFFERENT way of accessing the region\u2019s major attractions has launched with visitors and locals encouraged to make use of the new Ballarat Pass.<\/p>\n
Set up by the City of Ballarat, the pass includes five packages to select that can be used at Sovereign Hill, Kryal Castle, Creswick Woollen Mills, the Eureka Centre, the Art Gallery of Ballarat or the Ballarat Wildlife Park.<\/p>\n
City spokesperson Cr Peter Eddy said the pass puts the region\u2019s best attractions in one place.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith the Ballarat Pass, all you need to do is pick your package, pay in the one place and enjoy all these different tourist attractions with your friends and family,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
After a challenging last two years, Cr Eddy said the pass could help tourism businesses that have reopened their doors while also encouraging locals to check out the attractions.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe tourism sector has been really hard hit by lockdowns and we wanted to find a practical and attractive way to help them get visitors back to their respective attractions,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Ballarat Pass also strongly aligns with the City of Ballarat\u2019s Traveller Experience Plan and the Visitor Economy Strategy, both of which are aimed at getting one of our strongest economic sectors back up and running at full capacity as soon as we are able.\u201d<\/p>\n
The five packages\u2019 themes are Animal Lovers, Back in Time, Creative and Cultural, Fun Filled and the Big Three, and each include a minimum of two attractions.<\/p>\n
