AUSTRALIA\u2019S largest craft event series, Craft Alive, is returning to Ballarat for a weekend of exhibitions, workshops and retail stalls.<\/p>\n
Rather than taking place at its traditional location at Selkirk Stadium, the expo will instead be split across two venues for the first time.<\/p>\n
Craft Alive will run out of Civic Hall, and The Papercraft Show will be held at The Mining Exchange, which event programmer Sally Taylor said will provide a \u201cnatural balance\u201d between both offerings.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are too big for just one of these venues, so the Craft Alive event at Civic Hall will be focusing on sewing, quilting and patchwork,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd Papercraft, which encompasses basically everything to do with paper, has now grown to the point where it\u2019s now in a venue by itself.<\/p>\n
\u201cI cannot wait to see the Craft Alive flags covering central Ballarat. It\u2019s going to look stunning.\u201d<\/p>\n
Over 3000 people are expected to attend the event, and a free shuttle bus will be running between both venues and the train station.<\/p>\n
Craft Alive will run from Friday, 1 April until Sunday, 3 April with single day tickets $15 for adults and a multi-day option at $25, and children 14 and under can attend for free.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
