NOT-FOR-PROFIT organisation the Ballarat Society of Artists continued to celebrate their fortieth anniversary over the Easter long weekend.<\/p>\n
Business secretary Sue Clarke said the creative community group held their art show for the 39th year at the Robert Clark Centre.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe annual Easter exhibition highlighted the artworks of 34 members,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cArtwork varied in all sorts of mediums and supports, from a feather, to larger canvasses, watercolour, acrylics, oils pastels, printmaking and pen. They also had unframed art, cards, and merchandise for sale.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Botanical Gardens were abuzz with people and around 1500 visited the exhibition. It was wonderful to see young and old appreciating the art and the artists on duty had many conversations with them.\u201d<\/p>\n
