HISTORY and art are blending by the lake, as two community organisations partner up this winter.<\/p>\n
At least 16 creative members of the Ballarat Society of Artists will exhibit a rotating selection of artworks at the Lake Wendouree Museum over the coming months.<\/p>\n
BSA business secretary Susan Clarke said the show called Glimpses<\/em> will feature 30 pieces at a time, inspired by Lake Wendouree and its surrounds.<\/p>\n \u201cEach Sunday from 10am to 2pm, from now until spring, we\u2019ll be showing our work when the Museum is open, sitting there with our tables, and having members creating art on site,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s usually a very quiet time for the Museum, so we\u2019re offering something different, and hope it encourages people to come in and have a look.<\/p>\n \u201cIt can be hard to find spaces to display work in Ballarat, so this is a really good opportunity and arrangement for both groups. The museum has proper exhibition lighting, and it\u2019s warm.\u201d<\/p>\n
