{"id":85138,"date":"2022-06-08T12:25:39","date_gmt":"2022-06-08T01:25:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/ballarat\/?p=85138"},"modified":"2022-06-08T12:25:39","modified_gmt":"2022-06-08T01:25:39","slug":"let-it-glow-at-the-geelong-winter-festival","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/ballarat\/living\/let-it-glow-at-the-geelong-winter-festival\/","title":{"rendered":"Let it glow at the Geelong Winter Festival!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Geelong Winter Festival is returning with more snow, more rides, more lights and bigger fire and ice displays<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>ADVENTURE Park Geelong\u2019s epic and immersive school holiday festival, Winter Glow, is returning for the 2022 June-July school holidays with more snow, more rides, more lights and bigger fire and ice displays.<\/p>\n<p>The Winter Glow sold out every day in its first year last year, and is expected to be as popular in 2022 with a bigger snow play zone and a new magical snow flurry experience that simulates snow falling from the sky.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve invested in new rides, more snow-making machines, and we\u2019re super excited to be launching a snow flurry experience with realistic snow made from frozen water\u201d said Adventure Park managing director Leanne Salmon.<\/p>\n<p>Two new rides for the festival include a brand-new Air Balloons ride and the classic Tea Cups ride which add to six other dry rides and mini golf included in the admission price.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_85140\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-85140\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-85140\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2022\/06\/AP-ferris-wheel-600x380.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"380\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-85140\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The event includes heap of activities for young and the young at heat.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Local artist Glenn Smith will be hand-carving beautiful works of art from ice each day of the festival.<\/p>\n<p>Performers from Cirque Mystique will light up the sky with their spectacular fire-twirling displays, and 2.7 million dazzling lights and hundreds of glittering installations around the park will be on show each day.<\/p>\n<p>Face painting, cookie decorating and marshmallow roasting over open fire will be back along with yummy flavoured hot chocolates, spiced cider, mulled wine and a new schnapps bar for parents to warm up.<\/p>\n<p>A range of decadent, specialty winter warming food options will be available, including pizzas, sticky date puddings and chocolate molten cakes in addition to menu favourites; burgers, hot dogs, chips and salads which will be available from venues within the park.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Winter Glow is about brightening up the winter months and giving kids and families something to look forward to.\u201d Ms Salmon said.<\/p>\n<p>For more information and tickets visit <a href=\"http:\/\/winterglow.com.au\"><strong>winterglow.com.au<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><strong><em>-SPONSORED CONTENT<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Geelong Winter Festival is returning with more snow, more rides, more lights and bigger fire and ice displays ADVENTURE Park Geelong\u2019s epic and immersive school holiday festival, Winter Glow, is returning for the 2022 June-July school holidays with more snow, more rides, more lights and bigger fire and ice displays.
