FOLLOWING its launch tour in 2020, country artist Fanny Lumsden and her band The Pack will be bringing their Fallow album out on the road one last time.<\/p>\n
The final leg of the Deep in the Fallow tour will kickstart at the Ballaarat Mechanics\u2019 Institute on Friday, 1 July, where Lumdsen will play a different spin on the album\u2019s songs.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ll be bringing people the album through its Fallow + Variations counterpart, which is a re-recorded version of the album that offers a bit of a different take,\u201d Lumsden said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis album\u2019s almost two years old now so these newer versions will be something fresh and exciting, and we\u2019ll also showcase brand new material I\u2019m working on literally right now.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a whole new show.\u201d<\/p>\n
Since its 2020 release, Fallow has won numerous awards including the ARIA\u2019s and AIR\u2019s top country album and five golden guitars from the Country Music Association of Australia.<\/p>\n
Lumsden said Fallow + Variations reinvents the original songs with \u201cwacky choices\u201d like uilleann pipe and marching band instrumentation.<\/p>\n
Having previously toured the album at the Mechanic\u2019s Institute in early 2021, Lumsden said she\u2019s looking forward to using Ballarat as her launching point celebrate the album.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was just such a fun time bringing Fallow round one there. We didn\u2019t get enough in, really, both for the set list and actually getting to spend time there,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI remember last year though was such an upper of energy. The people were amazing and it was a bit of a surprise.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m excited to get back there and connect with everyone again because it\u2019s about the feedback of hearing their stories and their lives. We\u2019re just providing the soundtrack for it.\u201d<\/p>\n
New Zealand singer-songwriter Jenny Mitchell will open for Lumsden throughout the tour.<\/p>\n
