MARS Wrigley are mixing up the traditional recruitment and job interview process following the results of a survey.<\/p>\n
The confectionary company has recently found that 47 per cent of Australian\u2019s have resigned from their work, changed roles, or declined a job offer because it didn\u2019t complement their personal and family life.<\/p>\n
The chocolate and lolly manufacturer is now encouraging potential employees to bring their partners and family along to a virtual \u2018Loved One\u2019 interview, where they can ask questions, and see if a career at Mars Wrigley will fit into their lifestyle.<\/p>\n
Mars Wrigley human resources director Katy Halliwell said the business respects and celebrates each employee\u2019s individuality and values their loved ones.<\/p>\n
\u201cFamily looks different to each person, but the one thing that is common is that our associates need flexibility for the things that matter most to them in their life,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhile we have long been offering our associates flexibility and a supportive, family-friendly environment, we\u2019ve realised that this equally is important to our prospective associates, and as such, is a crucial step in the hiring process.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want to provide employment opportunities that are fulfilling, yet flexible, and aligned with the personal lives of each of our associates, and by opening up the interview process to loved ones we\u2019re ensuring candidates have all the information they need when embarking on the next chapter of their career and life.\u201d<\/p>\n
