DANIEL Ricciardo has quashed speculation about his McLaren future.<\/p>\n
The Australian confirmed via a statement that he is committed to the team and intends to see out his contract in 2023.<\/p>\n
Rumours have swirled that Ricciardo and McLaren could part ways at the end of this season.<\/p>\n
McLaren boss Zak Brown conceded in May that the 33-year-old\u2019s performances weren\u2019t meeting the team\u2019s expectations.<\/p>\n
Ricciardo, an eight-time Grand Prix winner, said on social media, \u201cThere have been a lot of rumours around my future in Formula 1, but I want you to hear it from me.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am committed to McLaren until the end of next year and am not walking away from the sport.<\/p>\n
\u201cAppreciate it hasn\u2019t always been easy, but who wants easy!<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m working my ass off with the team to make improvements and get the car right and back to the front where it belongs. I still want this more than ever.<\/p>\n

Ricciardo sits 12th in the Drivers\u2019 Championship, 47 points behind teammate Lando Norris.<\/p>\n
McLaren occupy fourth spot in the Constructers Championship at the halfway mark of the season, equal on points with fifth-placed Alpine.<\/p>\n
