MEMBERS of the Order of St John of Jerusalem Knights Hospitaller\u2019s Ballarat Commandery have donated one-thousand-dollars to provide food and medical provisions to struggling families in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n
The cash was given to members of the Rural Australians for Refugees\u2019 Ballarat branch and the Ballarat Afghan Action Group.<\/p>\n
The donation was made in honour of Order of St John member Chevalier, Reverend Graham Reynolds, a local Anglican priest who passed away earlier this year.<\/p>\n
Members of the Ballarat community have offered support to the Hazara people of Afghanistan, particularly for families without a male adult, with supplies delivered via on-the-ground volunteers.<\/p>\n
