A CHILDREN\u2019S edutainment duo is set to take their show from screen to stage for the first time in Ballarat as part of a national tour.<\/p>\n
ABC\u2019s Pevan and Sarah will perform educational songs and material from their Cub Club remote learning platform at Founders Theatre in Mount Helen on Friday, 2 December.<\/p>\n
One half of the duo, Sarah Kechayas said their local debut will offer children an added level of participation with the show compared to their online format.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe idea is it\u2019s a day in the life of a classroom with Pevan and Sarah. The people in the audience are going to see a lot of those songs and videos they know so well brought to life,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019ll be very interactive because that\u2019s pretty much what Cub Club is, it\u2019s the hook for many lessons and they\u2019ll be able to sing along and participate.<\/p>\n
\u201cTeachers and students will be brought up on stage for a point but that audience interaction will be there throughout the show.<\/p>\n
Like their online resources, the stage show will feature songs with an emphasis on literacy, mathematics and early social development.<\/p>\n
Ms Kechayas said she\u2019s excited to perform in Ballarat for the first time.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe actually have a lot of subscribers in Ballarat and we\u2019re totally stoked to play there. We have people coming from Halls Gap to see it and we\u2019ve invited every school in the area,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cBeing from Melbourne, rural Victoria is very high on our list so we\u2019re very wrapped that Ballarat is coming out in force for us.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe hope to make this an annual thing so we\u2019re really excited to come to Ballarat.\u201d<\/p>\n
