THE cost of an e-scooter ride is set to be cheaper for low-income users with the introduction of a discounted concession pass.<\/p>\n
E-scooter provider Neuron Mobility have launched the pass in Ballarat as part of the Neuron Access initiative, which aims to make the devices more accessible.<\/p>\n
People receiving government support are eligible for the concession, which lowers Neuron\u2019s weekly and monthly passes by up to half.<\/p>\n
Neuron Mobility spokesperson Richard Hannah said the concession pass will allow for a greater equity in e-scooter usage.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to be offering the concession pass in Ballarat, making our services more accessible and affordable for those who need it most,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur hope is that this initiative will have a meaningful impact for low-income users by expanding their mobility options.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are committed to creating a positive impact in all the communities we operate in, and providing a concession pass, as part of our global Neuron Access programme, is just one example of this.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe look forward to seeing the take up in more cities over the coming months.\u201d<\/p>\n
The concession pass will also allow access to unlimited rides for 90 minutes a day with no additional unlocking cost.<\/p>\n
