A STAPLE of Commerce Ballarat\u2019s monthly Biznet Breakfasts is readying its return to the track.<\/p>\n
Their October \u2018Breakfast with the Stars\u2019 networking event will take place in-person at the Ballarat Turf Club on Tuesday, 4 October.<\/p>\n
Commerce Ballarat CEO Jodie Gillett said it\u2019s great to be able to physically host the annual event again.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re really excited to get back out to the Ballarat Turf Club. During the pandemic, we did this breakfast online,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo actually get out there and see the horses working in the morning, to hear from some of our leading trainers is great.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is one of the more popular breakfasts of the year that we do.\u201d<\/p>\n
Among the speakers are Calvin and Tony McEvoy of McEvoy Mitchell Racing, who relocated to Ballarat from Barossa Valley in South Australia earlier this year.<\/p>\n
Held on the first Tuesday of every month, the Biznet Breakfasts are Commerce Ballarat\u2019s longest-running networking event, and have been taking place for more than 19 years.<\/p>\n
Ms Gillet said the upcoming breakfast is also an opportunity to showcase the growing development of the Ballarat Turf Club.<\/p>\n
\u201cTheir facility out there is just moving ahead in leaps and bounds. It\u2019s an enormous employer in our city and it\u2019s just amazing, the amount of trainers they\u2019re attracting to the area,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s really grown with the amount of trainers that are making Ballarat their home, and they offer a lot of job opportunities.\u201d<\/p>\n
