DAYLESFORD Netball Club has announced the recommitment of head coach Carly Post.<\/p>\n
After a season at Victoria Park, Post said she\u2019s gained a feel for the competition and club.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis season was all about getting girls back to the club and enjoying their netball, as well as putting some key philosophies and systems in place,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe ended up having our most successful A-grade season in the club\u2019s history, which is to be celebrated, but now we are looking to build on these foundations, to be even more competitive and push to play finals next year.\u201d<\/p>\n
DFNC president Carson White said Post\u2019s impact was immediately felt when she joined the Doggies.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe has grown into her coaching role over the season and has already had a massive impact on Daylesford’s netball program,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cSince the end of the season, she has been working tirelessly to build on the 2022 year and pull together a highly competitive team for the 2023 campaign.<\/p>\n
\u201cPast players have commented how excited they are to see our senior netball program finally building towards its full potential. We are all very excited to see what the 2023 season will bring.\u201d<\/p>\n
The club has also announced the signing of 187-centimetre former Victorian Netball League defender Peta Fay, and Australian men\u2019s netball player Riley Richardson, who will be a specialist coach.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m a big believer in good people first, good athletes second, and this epitomises Peta,\u201d Post said.<\/p>\n
\u201cNever in my wildest dreams did I think a player of her calibre would be interested in coming across, but I\u2019ve sold her a vision of a great country club and great people who deserve success, and she has really bought into that.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
