BROWN Hill Recreation Reserve will get a freshen up worth one million dollars if a State Labor government is re-elected next month.<\/p>\n
The green space currently has an oval, two rotundas, a playground and walking tracks, but would be redeveloped and revitalised for community use for generations to come.<\/p>\n
Brown Hill Progress Association members, including Hazen Cleary, have worked with City of Ballarat staff to develop a reserve master plan together.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Brown Hill Progress Association is delighted with the announcement of $1 million to go towards the implementation of the Brown Hill Reserve redevelopment master plan,\u201d Ms Cleary said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn 2021, the association began a conversation with the Brown Hill community, which lead to the initial concept for the reserve\u2019s redevelopment.<\/p>\n
\u201cCouncil has used this as the basis for the reserve\u2019s master plan. The funding will bring to life the community\u2019s vision for a facility which will serve the community well into the future.\u201d<\/p>\n
Member for Buninyong, and the Labor candidate for the new seat of Eureka, Michaela Settle, said this State funding would help realise some exciting ideas.<\/p>\n
